We have a problem with currency format in a Websphere Application Server we put es_MX to locale but Portal Server use es for Spain and the currency format is different.
We Solve in this way:
In a Websphere Console > Application Server > Server > Java And Process Managment > Process Definition > Java Virtual Machine
Add -Duser.language=es -Duser.region=MX to Generic JVM arguments
using: Websphere Portal Server 6.1
